♀ Gender Equality & Empowerment
The Women Grievance Cell (WGC) of Dr S C Gulhane Prerna College of Commerce, Science, and Arts is established to address issues, complaints, and concerns of women students and staff. The Cell works to ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment and to promote gender equality and empowerment on campus.
The Cell functions in coordination with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and other statutory bodies of the institution.
Operates in coordination with the ICC and all relevant statutory bodies to ensure a dignified and inclusive campus for every woman.
Objectives
- ✦To provide a platform for women to report grievances
- ✦To ensure prompt and fair redressal of complaints
- ✦To create awareness about women's rights and safety
- ✦To promote gender sensitization and empowerment
- ✦To prevent discrimination and harassment against women
Functions of the Cell
- ✦To receive grievances from women students and staff
- ✦To examine complaints related to safety, discrimination, or harassment
- ✦To provide counselling and guidance
- ✦To recommend suitable action to the Principal / Management
- ✦To conduct awareness programs on women empowerment and gender sensitization
- ✦To maintain confidentiality and proper records
Nature of Grievances Addressed
- ✦Gender discrimination
- ✦Harassment (non-sexual)
- ✦Safety-related concerns
- ✦Academic or administrative issues affecting women
- ✦Any other grievance specific to women
Grievance Redressal Mechanism
Women students or staff can submit grievances through any of the following:
- ✦Through an online Google Form
- ✦By written application to the Chairperson
- ✦Through email to the Women Grievance Cell
