The Counselling & Mentoring Cell of Dr S C Gulhane Prerna College of Commerce, Science, and Arts supports the academic, emotional, psychological, and career development of students. The Cell aims to create a student-friendly environment by providing guidance, mentoring, and counselling services to help students overcome personal, academic, and social challenges.

  • To mentor students for academic progress and career planning
  • To identify and support slow learners and students at risk
  • To promote a positive and inclusive campus culture

Functions of the Cell
  • To conduct mentoring sessions for students (one-to-one / group)
  • To provide psychological counselling and emotional support
  • To guide students in academic planning and exam preparation
  • To assist students in career choices and higher education options
  • To conduct stress management, time management, and life skills programs
  • To maintain the confidentiality of student information

Students may approach the Cell through:

  • Direct interaction with mentors
  • Scheduled counselling sessions
  • Referral from departments or IQAC

Mentor–Mentee System
  • Each student is allotted a faculty mentor
  • Regular mentor–mentee meetings are conducted
  • Academic progress, attendance, and overall development are monitored
  • Mentors guide students regarding career options, internships, and skill development
